Dr. Matthew Barulich

Dr. Barulich grew up in Reno, attended UC Davis for his undergraduate degree, and received his M.D. degree from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine in 1982.  He completed his internship and residency at the UCSF program Fresno campus in 1986.  He was in private practice with Carson Medical Group from 1986-2001 and founded Desert Rose OB/GYN in 2001.  Dr. Barulich has been active in medical missionary work in Mexico as well as leading youth mission trips to Mexico.  He has been active as a board member for the Community Pregnancy Center since 1989, and spent 6 years serving as its president.  Currently, Dr. Barulich is the Medical Director for the center. Since the early 1990s, Dr. Barulich has taught classes on sexually transmitted diseases and the importance of abstinence in our public schools and youth groups in Carson City, Douglas County, and Dayton.  For seven years, Dr. Barulich coached Little League baseball teams in Carson City.  He has also served on the University of Nevada, School of Medicine Admissions Committee from 2004-2006.  In 1990, he received the Carson City Jaycees Outstanding Young Medical Professional Award.  He and his wife, Suzanne, have four children.  In his spare time, Dr. Barulich enjoys photography, running, skiing, scuba diving, hunting and fishing.

Dr. Barulich is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
